O.K., let's see how good you drag racers are at knowing your sport. I was at the NHRA Arizona Nationals last week-end in the USA and took this movie of a crew member doing "something" on the track. I will give a free racing t-shirt to the first person who can tell me exactly what this man is doing. I know the answer because I asked him! Well . . . . . . after a month . . . nobody knew what this guy was doing. Here is the answer: the crew member is using a device to test how sticky the track is at various points on the drag strip. This is a new practice in The States at the national event level. The device assigns a numerical value to the degree of track stickiness so that the crew chief can determine how much clutch slippage to dial in.
